Bishop Nathan Gombakomba is 64. He is married to Sifile, and God has blessed them with a son and 2 daughters. His hobby is gardening.
Ministry:
Nathan never went to school but was a successful farmer, using the Foundations for Farming methods. He was saved in 1979 and in 2006 planted The Living Hope International Ministries Church in EyreCourt, Harare, which he pastors today. They have about 40 members and 35 children. He uses Foundations for Farming to teach his congregation, and they also have a chicken project to raise funds.
Testimony: βI want to thank God for His grace in my life. I see His love to my family and the church I am leading. Beside the group that is in town, we have started another assembly in the rural areas near our location. Though there are challenges in our work since Covid time. We are teaching The Word of God to the small group that we have.β
Overview
Zimbabwe, has a population of approximately 11m. There are serious food shortages, huge shrinkage of the economy and a complete collapse of the local currency. There is 90% unemployment & health & education are in a parlous state. Water & power shortages are an ongoing problem. There has been a huge loss of life and hardship caused by the AIDS & cholera pandemics, with over 2 million orphaned. (In 2019) The country has once again gone back to using its own currency, after 10 years of trading in US$ and SA Rand and inflation is beginning to spiral out of control.
In spite of (or because of?) this, many churches are flourishing- & people are turning to God
Your partnership encourages faithful local ministry and helps churches reach more people with the love of Christ.
