The ascension of Jesus

Partners like you exemplify the love that Jesus talks about in John. By supporting a pastor, you enable those in developing countries to hear about the life saving love of Jesus, transforming lives and communities. We honour your sacrificial love that enabled Live Connection to celebrate its 25 th anniversary last night.

“My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come. A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:33-35

Celebrating 25 Years

We received messages of congratulations from across the world, and the house was packed with almost 50 of our partners. What a wonderful blessing to speak to old and new friends and exchange encouraging stories about what God is doing through the tireless work of our various sponsored pastors. As promised, Renée and her team of kind helpers supplied delicious homemade pizza, and Paul was in his element at the pizza oven.

Partners had the opportunity to pick Paul’s mind, and, over the course of the night, Paul was able to reminisce on sweet memories from past mission trips and share more on the exciting upcoming trip.

Live Connection now supports 249 pastors , but the harvest is plentiful, and we need more labourers. Paul spoke about our prayerful plans for expansion and thanked you, our faithful partners, for your continued support.

Pastor Marion Nyaeti has been put forward for sponsorship by our regional leader for Kenya. Marion is a strong woman of God who, as a widow and mother of two, has served at the One Accord Church in Nakuru for 13 years.

Women in ministry can bring healing in spaces men find harder to access. She is determined to reach out and restore those who have strayed from the faith. With your help, she would like to strengthen her children’s ministry and youth outreach programmes.

A new mantle

As we announced last month, our beloved administrator, Anne Ferrar, will soon be stepping down. We shed some tears as we celebrated her remarkable 16 years of service to Live Connection. Anne’s decision marks the end of an era, but she leaves behind a lasting legacy . Her profound impact on both pastors and partners will continue to bear fruit for the Kingdom. We love you, Anne! 💖

As we reflect on the ascension of Jesus, we are reminded of His boundless love and the promise of His eternal presence. His ascension signifies not only His return to the Father but also the empowerment of His followers to continue His mission on Earth.

Let us carry forward His message of love, hope, and redemption.
