All of us at Live Connection send New Year Greetings – and what better way to start a new year, and every day, than with this wonderfully happy reminder, that
The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed ; those who help others are helped… A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25.
This is a big part of Live Connection’s DNA, and we pray that as you sacrificially continue to partner with your pastor(s), you will find this Scripture to be true.
I usually receive about 720 letters from the pastors every 3 months, and so many of them are full of encouragement and gratitude. It is difficult to choose which ones to share, but here are a few for you to enjoy, including one with this novel idea:
TEA WITH GOD?
From Pastor Romeo Atienza, in the Philippines, comes this novel invitation:
“Our second Local Fellowship, themed: TEA with GOD (Give TIME, Make EFFORTS, to have ASSURANCE), was a resounding success and a true blessing. I was particularly delighted to see my children lead the youth in a wonderful program. Their dedication, from preparation to execution, showcased their gifts in praising and honouring our Lord.”
AND FELLOWSHIPWITH EACH OTHER
“On December 28th, 2024, a vibrant tapestry of Christmas joy was woven as Anita House Church, Punong Church, and Tagaytay Outreach united in a festive celebration. The air hummed with the spirit of giving, sharing, and boundless love, a testament to God’s overflowing grace. It was more than just a party; it was a powerful demonstration of our shared faith, a strengthening of bonds, and a profound experience of spiritual growth for all who attended. The warmth of fellowship radiated outwards, inspiring us to continue spreading God’s love throughout the coming year.”
SHARE- AND PASS IT ON!
“I have always appreciated God for the grace he gave me through you to be Regional Leader for my fellow Pastors who are serving the Lord under very difficult conditions. One of the first Pastors on the Live Connection program, Frank Sinkala, was reminding me when I went to visit him, about how he used to struggle before the Live Connection came into partnership with him several years back. He narrated how, one day when I met him in the late afternoon. He was coming from a village about 17km were he had gone to visit people who received Christ in his previous visit. After conducting a Bible Study with them, he started walking back home. He had not eaten anything because no one could provide food for him, and so, he was looking very week and tired. I was also coming from visiting people who I had shared the gospel with, but even though I was also tired, I was better than him, because, at least I was with a bicycle and he was walking. We stood under a tree to encourage each other. After praying, I gave him K4, the only money I had in my pocket, which was only worth to buy 500ml bottle of water. One thing we prayed for was that the Lord would give us resources to survive as families so we could serve Him well.
It did not take long.
The Lord spoke to you and you put me on partnership with you. I prayed for Frank again. The Lord answered my prayers. You contacted me a few months later and you asked me to identify some Pastors who were going through the similar situation as I was. The first person I contacted was Frank himself. When he heard about this, he was shocked. From that time on, (2016) God has changed his life and that of his family and the ministry. He has changed my life too. Like everyone else on the program, Frank has had his ministry to the poor people of Isoka. He has land where he does his farming with the money from the Live Connection. He confesses that, from that time on, he and his family has never again slept on an empty stomach. God has been providing for his basic needs through Live Connection. Thank you to the Lord for your vision.” Moses.
And Frank’s recent testimony-
“I am growing old and I can feel it myself that I am no longer the Frank who used to run around with zeal to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus. I am now putting the rest of my energy on empowering the young ones in the church so that one day when I am gone, the Lord will continue to using these young ones in extending the kingdom of God. This is based on the principal of Paul to train faithful men who in turn will teach others. That is why I am always going out with them in the ministry field.” Frank.
AND FINALLY …
As it is the beginning of the new year, it’s time to check our database.
Please do let us know if there are any changes to any of your contact details.
And a warm “thank you” to all our faithful partners who continue to support their pastor(s).
Remember- Jesus said: “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden, nor do they light a lamp and put it under a bed, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5: 14- 16
