How does the Partnership work?

Your partnership funds ($60 per month) can be paid via Direct Debit, Credit Card or Cheque. These funds are then electronically transferred to our partner pastors overseas. Live Connection is a "not-for-profit" organization and, given the nature of its’ work in spreading the Gospel, is not considered to be eligible as a tax deductible charity. Some one-off community projects may attract tax deductibility status.

As part of your partnership you will receive a "Pastor Card" which details personal information about your pastor and gives you the ministry context in which he or she is working so that you can pray for the work of God in the area.

You will receive regular updates concerning the pastor and his/her ministry in the form of a letter or email. You will also be given the opportunity to send information about yourself to your partner so that they can pray for you and your family.

How do you choose the pastors?

The pastors are selected meticulously by the 'Key Contacts' within each country. These Key Contacts themselves are always chosen diligently by the L.C. board, with much care and consideration. In most cases, a member from the board will personally travel to meet and greet with these Key Contacts before L.C. will officially enter partnership with them.

Our partner pastors also receive regular leadership training and support from regional leaders. This assists them in their work to extend the Kingdom of God.

How is my support money used?

Your monthly contribution goes directly to enabling a local pastor to serve their local community both physically and spiritually. Our pastors are seen as leaders within their communities and many people look to them to provide for their needs. This may often extend to taking on the care and responsibility of orphan children who may be abandoned on their doorstep.

The financial support is not a wage but it does provide for the basic needs of the pastor and his family as they provide leadership and compassion to their community, thus 'empowering' them into full-time leadership.

Why partner with an overseas pastor?

Live Connections exists to be the hands, feet and mouth of Jesus Christ in overseas countries. Many Children are given food, clothing and even shelter: and yet, if they don’t get introduced to Jesus, they don’t find their purpose in life, and Life eternal. By partnering with Live Connection you can personally make a difference in a needy community. Our monthly contribution of $60 goes directly to enabling a local pastor to serve his local community. This money is not a wage but it does provide the basic needs for a pastor as they spread the love of God in their community.

Whilst Western Missionaries have their place on overseas evangelism, the cost of one western missionary equates to approximately 80 rural pastors. More importantly rural pastors do not need language or cultural training, or need to maintain a western lifestyle. If you partner with a pastor, you will develop a live connection with them through your monthly contribution and prayer. In return, your pastor will pray for you and you will receive regular news updates from them. Imagine one day you might go on a Live Connection Mission trip and meet him/her in person!

Can I co-partner with a pastor?

Yes. Many people are partnered with one or two other people. This would mean your partnership funds would amount to $30 or $20 per month respectively. Also, many organisations, such as churches, mission groups etc. partner with a pastor under their organisation name.

How can I help spread the Vision of L.C?

By talking to others about the goals and direction of Live Connection. Let your church or organisation know about us. You can contact us if you wish to acquire brocures for your own information, or as an aid in telling others about us.

Live connection is currently working in the countries: South Africa, Zambia, Democratic Republic Of The Congo, Uganda, The Philippines, Indonesia, Cameroon, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Malawi, and Kenya.

The outcome?

Through the generous support of many Australians, pastors are being empowered into full time ministry on a huge scale. An army of warriors for Jesus Christ has taken to the field.

The story doesn’t stop here, as our Live Connection pastors receive regular training, networking, and encouragement through Live Connection team leaders, they then go on to accomplish great things in the name of The Lord. Communities are coming together, the Gospel is being preached, lives are being saved and the Kingdom of God is growing every day. All this, for His Glory.
